The purpose of this site is to celebrate the inherent value of every individual with an developmental disability with our friends, advocates and those who wish to join our campaign for justice. On this site you will find inspiration, a discussion of important issues and ways you can “link up” to make a difference.

Our further purpose is to use The Value of One to bring people together around the common goal of improving depictions, language, attitudes and ultimately the behavior and actions of the general public and lawmakers toward people with developmental disabilities. When this happens The Value of One will have the power of many. The chain logo represents our connectivity to each other. As we add links, it grows stronger.
